In heaven we were offered two plans: the plan of our
Heavenly father which included the role of Jesus Christ as our Savior who would
offer himself so that we could repent and return to live with our Father in
Heaven again or the plan of Satan that would make sure everyone made it back to
heaven by control and force. Satan still
tries to imitate God’s plans and always will.
God has the law of United Order where each person provides what they can
and is given back according to their need and ability. The difference between these plans is one
freely gives and in the other plan one gives by compulsion.
The forced method of sharing is called communism or
socialism. Each of these ideas forces in
individual to give for the good of society but since it is forced it lacks many
principles that are in place with the United Order. The main difference is that
one is giving according to God’s plan and the people are living God’s laws and
the commandments. Without this there is
corruption and deceit which will cause the plan to fail every time. This plan is also forced which can cause
resentment and lack of charity toward fellow men. Men also start to get any advantage over the
system they can thus not giving of their
full talent and also taking more than their needs leaving the system lacking in
the resources to care for all. People
start to then become lazy and indulgent and expect care from the
government. This will cause a person to
rely on government for lifting them up instead of relying on God for the help
and assistance they need.
In the scriptures, we are taught thou shalt have no other
God’s before me (Exodus 10:3). Maybe its
an accidental replacement but placing our dependence for life/survival in the
government over God places government as a God. The government is being placed higher than God
because we rely on it more than God. Many
governments will also make laws that are not righteous and will allow all kinds
of behavior and call them acceptable. Thus
the government is dictating morality and the commandments that we should be
following. Again this places government
as a God. How sad our father in heaven
must be to see us turn away from him, who is our provider and caregiver, we
turn from him for reliance and turn to our government. Satan has now implemented his church and
teachings into our lives, this is done by us slowing accepting government as
our “God”, our moral compass, our provider and we place faith in this false God
to care for us.
I would now like to switch thoughts for a moment. To the great and abominable church that is
spoken of many times in 1 Nephi and 2 Nephi.
Now I think if we replace church which would be Satan’s church, or the
church of compulsion or his doctrines with the word Government we can see how
Satan can replace God in our lives with himself. These governments are Satan’s way because
they use force and compulsion for their means and breed selfishness which leads
to pride which leads to the downfall of man.
I would like to include a few verses.
And
the angel said unto me: Behold the formation of a church (government) which
is most abominable above all other churches (governments), which slayeth
the saints of God, yea, and tortureth them and bindeth them down, and yoketh
them with a yoke of iron, and bringeth them down into captivity.

1 Nephi 13:26
26 And after they go forth by
the hand of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, from the Jews unto the Gentiles,
thou seest the formation of that great and abominable
church (government), which is most abominable above all other churches
(governments); for behold, they have taken away from the gospel of the
Lamb many parts which are plain and most precious; and also many covenants of
the Lord have they taken away.
Constantine
was responsible for trying to unite the government and church to have greater
control over the people and create a stronger nation, but this did not work and
within about 100 years of his death the government/country he created was
destroyed and became many nations.

1 Nephi 14:11-12
11 And it came to pass that I looked and beheld the whore of all
the earth, and she sat upon many awaters; and
she had dominion over ball the earth,
among all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people.
12 And
it came to pass that I beheld the church of the Lamb of God, and its numbers
were afew,
because of the wickedness and abominations of the whore who sat upon many
waters; nevertheless, I beheld that the church of the Lamb, who were the saints
of God, were also upon ball the face
of the earth; and their dominions upon the face of the earth were small,
because of the wickedness of the great whore whom I saw.

1 Nephi 22:14
14 And every nation which shall war against thee, O house of Israel, shall be turned one against another, and they shall fall into the pit
which they digged to ensnare the people of the Lord. And all that fight against
Zion shall be destroyed, and that great whore, who hath perverted the right ways of the
Lord, yea, that great and abominable church (government),
shall tumble to the dust and great shall be the fall of it.
When
thinking about this as a government, it will be a great fall which will be
noticed and felt by everyone. If an
entire nation or even 50% of a nation is dependent on a government for care and
substance, when that nation falls those reliant on it will be left with
nothing. Satan wants men to suffer and
be miserable like unto himself. He will
not hold you up in your time of need. If
he can get an entire nation dependent on a government that is built upon his
gospel which lacks any moral compass and breeds selfishness and pride, he knows
this nation will not long survive, leading to the destruction of the nation and
to the destruction of the people.
I
would like to see if this is the state our government is in. The United States of America has been
spending more than it has for decades. If
we go into the future promises that our government has made to its people to
provide benefits, we can see how unsustainable our path is. Medicare has a huge deficit. It can be estimated between 33 trillion
dollars to 100 Trillion dollars. Either way
it is impossible to pay. Our national
debt is at sixteen trillion dollars, we are looking at up to six times our
current debt in future payments for this one program. Social security is also another sixteen
trillion dollar deficit. Those figures
do not include any spending that is currently happening, we still have spending
for defense, currently just under 700 billion, federal employee retirement
currently just over 200 billion, interest on debt currently just over 200
billion. None of these figures include food stamps which has doubled its cost
in the last year, education spending, transportation spending or any of the
other smaller programs. The entire wealth of individuals and business in the
United States is estimated to be 90 Trillion dollars. To Pay these promised
benefits each tax payer would have to pay over one million dollars. To even pay our current budget and pay down
our debt would require doubling of tax income and keeping spending the same for
over 30 years.
I
would put forth that the communist/socialist government (church of Satan that
teaches us to put our faith in the strength of men) is going to fall and great
will be the fall there of. Scriptures
have multiple meanings and the time of fulfillment can be over a vast period of
time. If the scripture is interpreted
this way, was it fulfilled when the Soviet Union fell? Will it be when the Chinese government falls
or will this be when our modern socialist governments fall (ie. England,
France, United States)? Many might argue
that we are not socialist but look at our programs that are socialist: social
security, Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation, food stamps, Patient
protection act (Obamacare), education. All
of these programs take from someone else to provide a benefit for another
person with the hope that society will be better. We must change our direction and quickly to
save our government and monetary system from the complete collapse that Satan
is hoping to achieve.
